Sweet salvationThe mug of tea in front of me is smeared with chocolate. Chocolate from a brownie that I shared with my team a few minutes ago. A delicious moist, nutty brownie. A lifesaver.
In fact, I don’t think the kind people atStormsvlei Farm Stall near Swellendam that sent me the brownie (along with a basket full of other homemade yummies like rusks and jam) quite realise what a lifesaver this brownie has been.

There are two types of chocolate brownies: the cake-masquerading as a brownie variety – which many of us would argue, is no brownie at all – and the gooey variety, moist, chocolatey, and rich. The guys fromStormsvlei Farm Stall turn out the latter. Gooey and chocolatey, this brownie got the vote from the whole team. Situated on the N2 between Swellendam and Riviersonderend, they’re a great pitstop for your December holidays! Along with brownies, you’ll find all kinds of tasty treats like Youngberry Port Jam, Honey-roasted wheat-free muesli, and bran rusks. There’s also a restaurant, if you’re in need of something a little more substantial.
